Information about Our Camps
Meraki Theatre Productions held their first ever Youth Empowerment Theatre Camp last summer (2018) and recently hosted a 1-Day Youth Empowerment Camp during Spring Break (2019) for youth ages 9-12 years old. We have also offered in-school workshops and drama classes. Our empowerment theatre camps engage students in drama (acting), music, and dance. Our camps focus on themes of belonging, acceptance, anti-bullying, equality and ending hate.
Our camps are taught by Taylor Gregory who has countless Teaching, Directing, Musical Directing and Stage Management credits from her work inside and outside of Winnipeg. Taylor holds both degrees in Theatre and Education and she has had the opportunity to teach theatre across Winnipeg (MTYP, Theatre Dance Centre, Rady JCC, Seven Oaks Arts Camp, Winnipeg School Divison, Pembina Trails School Division, etc.) along with teaching Drama and Performing Arts in Athens, Greece. Taylor also has her valid Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry certificates.
