THE SUMMER I TURNED SPARKLY
Everything good, everything magical happens between June and August. This sold-out parody of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and “Twilight” took place in July of 2026 during the Winnipeg Fringe Festival.
STRANGE THINGS
The year is 1983 and it appears to be another ordinary night in the town of Hawk. This parody musical performed at the 2026 Winnipeg Fringe Festival was filled with humour, heart, waffles, and proved that friendship makes even the strangest adventures worthwhile.
SWEENEY TODD
Meraki Theatre’s Adult Ensemble presented their first ever production: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The production was performed at the Crescent Arts Centre from May 29-31, 2026.
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
Meraki Theatre’s Student-Led Shakespeare Unit presented “Much Ado About Nothing” at the University of Winnipeg’s Asper Centre for Theatre and Film on Sunday, April 26 and Monday, April 27.
THRIVE
Our Teen Mental Health Play creation program (THRIVE) performed their original play titled “100 Degrees” at the University of Winnipeg’s Asper Centre for Theatre and Film on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
HADES
“HADES” is an original musical based on the story of Hercules and popular Greek Mythology tales of love and heartbreak.
ORPHANS
What’s a group of young orphans to do when their home is being threatened to be sold? This production featuring original music by Micah Buenafe was performed April 10, 11 and 12, 2026 at the CCFM (Franco Manitoban Cultural Centre).
WINNIE THE POOH-SICAL
A brand new musical right from the Hundred Acre Woods performed at the University of Winnipeg’s Asper Centre for Theatre and Film!

REWRITTEN
This original Meraki Theatre adventure combines laughter, heart and a little bit of magic to remind us that we’re all the authors of our own stories. BUGJUICE
Join Meraki Theatre's all-teenage cast in this musical parody of Beetlejuice, with a few extra legs and a whole lot of fun. Packed with laughs, larger than life characters, and toe-tapping tunes, it’s a ghostly good time for the living and the... not-so-living.

DÉJÀ VU TOUR
Ash is facing big changes after moving and starting at a new French school. Struggling with the language and everything new around her, every day starts to feel the same. As Ash feels more lost, her inner child might just hold the key to helping her reconnect and find the spark she’s missing.

BARBIE: A PARODY
We put our own parody spin on Barbie for the Winnipeg Fringe Festival from July 17 to 28, 2024. We completely sold out our entire 11-show run, and our bonus added show!
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM.

ROMEO & JULIET
Romeo and Juliet, directed by Agnes Fournier, Alice Christopher and Sam Elkin, took place will be taking place May 10 & 11, 2024.

WONDERLAND
Meraki Theatre presented our original, student-driven production of “WONDERLAND” (an Alice in Wonderland spin-off!) in March of 2024!

“THRIVE” is a new production class for youth ages 15-19 that focuses on the connection between Theatre and Mental Health Awareness (no audition necessary).
This year we created a play called “perception.” with teens enrolled in this program.

10 YEARS LATER
"The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later" ran for 5 nights Tuesday, May 28th - Saturday, June 1st (2019) and this was the Manitoba Premiere of this play.
